Advent- Gingerbread Snowmen

Today is a snowy, icy day, so school was called off early. We took advantage of the morning to make gingerbread snowmen as our Advent activity. At some point in the cooking, she took off her shirt and then put it back on by herself.

Advent Sushi

During Advent we like to do a "special" activity each day. On Wednesday, we made sushi rolls with cucumber, egg and asparagus. To keep the rice from sticking to our fingers, we had a plastic container of water to dip our hands into. What I did not know is that nori, the seaweed sheets used to make sushi, as needs to be "washed" from time to time.

Why Toddlers Do Not Run Yarn Stores...

The Baroness loves to use a yarn winder, but so far has been unable to secure steady employment at any local knitting stores.
