No Horses- Live or Wooden

I (mom) was convinced the historic carousel at the park would be a huge hit and that we would spend lots of time riding on the horses. The Baroness found the horses scary and took in one carousel ride while sitting on mom's lap on a bench seat. She wouldn't even sit on a still horse for a photo!

Butterflies

We went to a local beach front park today for a migration festival. Mom and dad each caught a monarch butterfly and brought them to the "banding" station where a gentleman put a small tracking sticker on their wing and recorded the gender before releasing the monarch again. Apparently the stickers cause no harm and holding a butterfly does not kill it. The stickers are used to track the butterfly's migration path.
